Barbara Vastenavond (MBA) is a project manager and promoter of educational initiatives with a clear vocation for turning ideas into reality. Born in Belgium, she studied Art Sciences at Universiteit Gent and specialized in business management in Barcelona, where she completed a postgraduate degree at UPF and later an MBA at URV.
Since 2003, she has been linked to the Department of Chemical Engineering at URV as research support staff, responsible for research and science outreach projects within the Interfibio group. With over 20 years of experience in managing European and innovation projects, since 2019, she has also co-led the Repte Experimenta, a science education program based on inquiry and experimentation that brings science closer to society.
Passionate about collaborative learning, she drives Monday Basics as a space to share knowledge, foster creativity, and enhance professional growth within the university.
