Bio
Carlos Pozo is a Chemical Engineer by training, with an Eng degree (2008), a MSc (2008) and a PhD (2012) in Chemical Engineering. He has developed his career in highly multidisciplinary and international environments, including periods as research associate at Imperial College London (2016-2019), as visiting professor at Universitat de Girona (2019-2021) and as a Serra-Húnter fellow at Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2021-2022). In 2022, he joined the Chemical Engineering Department of Universitat Rovira i Virgili as a lecturer. He carries versatile and multidisciplinary research, lying at the interface of Processes Systems Engineering (mathematical programming, simulation, optimization) and Sustainability Assessment (Life Cycle Assessment, planetary boundaries framework). Current interests include carbon capture storage & utilization, circular economy and sustainable energy.
